| Hello, I haven't been able to touch base much on this line for a while. Mobuck, the weather here in the U.S. can get kinda scary also. The winter is coming on us here in the Mt's and it has turned quite cold at night. in the low 20s now. but by Dec and Jan it will be well bellow freezing. We have a continuous wind that blows here in the flats. 10-30 mph and wind gusts can get up to 60-70 at times. so when it isn't blowing it is really nice... heheh. the temp her in summer can reach 110 or more on hotter day's. I moved here from Arizona and it is cooler here then there for the summer, but to get in the Mt's during the heat is great. My cousin and I have been working on the family tree now for a few years and we have hit a stopping point at 1767 in Scotland. Our family came from Saddell & Skipness, Argyll, Scotland. I have Margaret Greensleeve mother of Janet Brakenrigg 1749 and John Blue, Weitshaw, Argyll, Scotland. It was there young ons that migrated out of Scotland, through Ireland then got separated some came through Canada into upper Michigan and settled in Mikado, As Horse men and Lumberman. The Goddard's and the Bruce's had a very large camp and town with many many fine trotters and work horses. Large hotel and Great Grand mum fed all at a long hand hewen wooden table and benches she had to feed in shifts. They all had many many children she had 16 4 passed as children and the rest farmed and lumbered. The other group that were separated, settled in Virginia and Kentucky and farmers and such. We have had quit a variety of soles in our family. Well I'm just rattling my head. Hope to hear from you .. Dawn S Last edited by Green Eyed Lady; December 5th, 2008 at 07:38 AM. | |
