I'm a keen golfer. Didn't join a club this year because we got married and couldn't afford it. Plus I work shifts so because of that I didn't play one metal last year.

My last official handicap was 10 (never ever managed to get to single figures ) but if I'm out playing with mates then I can regularly shoot a mid-70.

I enjoy playing different and new courses, my favourite is the Kings at Gleneagles. Last year we bought the 2-for-1 vouchers and only used them once lol.

I bet you just comeback from your honeymoon no long a go am I correct?

I am working in Gleneagles Glen on 30th August Johny Walker Cup Coaching the youth I hope to see you about.
look if you enjoy your round of golf what more can you ask for single figures or not believe me is not important.

Just keep away from the trouble (any hazard) your scores will tell you how good you are 70 is a good gross score M8.

I'm a keen golfer but have never bettered 21 as a handicap. Still, I love the game and am a member at the Kenmore golf course in ...... you quessed it ... Kenmore (Perthshire).
One day on the 8th fairway, I was aware of this huge thing shaddowing over us and when we looked up it was a large buzzard with a fish in it's claws. It must have been a salmon or a large rainbow trout but the buzzard could hardly clear the trees with the weight of the fish and with it still riggling in it's tallons. what a site!

Thumbs up

Scotty, Seen your photos and I'm not that keen. I might just take you up on your offer to have a wee game some day but right at this moment I'm not fit to play as I have bad Sciatica. Is there anyone out thare who has a cure for sciatica? I really miss not playing but I have an appointment to see a Neuro-surgeon next month. I hope something can be done. Anyway, once I'm fit we'll have a go and Glen can join us.

Sorry to hear that you're not able to play, I have no idea about Sciatica and I do hope you find a cure for it and I wish you get well soon, so we can share a wee game and a wee drink take care of your self.

Hello guys,

Im a keen golfer, only been playing for 2 years and loving it.

Member at Dalziel G&C Club, near Motherwell.

Currently a 24 handicapper, but looking to bring that down to about 20 for this year, not much time left.

Trouble is, i can go Par, bogeye, par, par, bogeye...........8......par, bogeye, 7, 6,...Par....and so on.

Im so unpredictable, i can hit the ball for miles, but to which direction it goes is a mystery.

I have been complimented a few times that i have a good swing, just cant seem to stop the 8's on my card.

Im currently working on getting a routine when addressing the ball, and a way to keep the ball going straight.

Maybe try and slow that swing down then Gus. I'm a big hitter myself but, as you probably know, it's not always good to be that far up the fairway, especially if it's 50 yards to the right lol.

I think it's taken me about 10 of the 14 years I've been playing golf to realise that further is not better!

(Although it's good to leather one every now and again )

My swing is reletavly slow Glen, it certainly isnt fast.

Im quite deliberate in my take away part of the swing to make sure i dont swing fast.

I think my problem lies somewhere in the weight shift when on the downswing, as i have no consistent hook or draw.
